The Aruhacos are indigenous from Colombia. They are Chibchan-speaking and descendants of the Tayrona culture, located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. They live in the upper valleys of the Piedras River, San Sebastián River, Chichicua River, Ariguani River and Guatapuri River. Its traditional area before the Spanish colonization was larger than today’s boundaries that exclude many of its locations that continue to visit today to offer payment.
