Senda Hotels Community Projects
Our Socio-Environmental Impact in Tayrona National Park
At Senda Hotels, we believe tourism can also be a transformative force for local communities. That’s why we develop community projects with a social and environmental focus, designed to contribute to the well-being of the region and its people. We are committed to working hand in hand with local communities to create a positive impact, especially for those with fewer access to opportunities.
Community Support
La Revuelta School – José María Córdoba Campus: With the goal of supporting education in Colombia and strengthening our connection with the San Rafael community in Santa Marta, Senda Hotels contributed to improving the infrastructure of La Revuelta School.
One of the existing restroom facilities was renovated and a new one was built, including new tile flooring, the installation of two sinks, new stall doors, and the renewal of the drainage system.
The dining area was also upgraded with a completely new roof, and the school’s façade was repainted, enhancing its appearance and creating a more welcoming environment.
These actions were aimed at improving the school’s physical conditions and providing children and young students with safer, more comfortable, and more suitable spaces to learn and grow.
Local Employment
As part of our social commitment, we prioritize the creation of local employment by offering job opportunities to people from the communities surrounding our hotels.
This approach not only creates meaningful opportunities for local residents, but also enriches our guests’ experience, allowing them to connect authentically with the local culture through the knowledge and warmth of those who live in and care for these unique destinations.
